Relaxing Days in a Beautiful Oceanfront Resort
Absolutely stunning resort with a sleek, eco-friendly design tucked away on the southwest coast of Zanzibar. Picture ten oceanfront villas, each with its own private pool, plus a handful of dreamy suites with uninterrupted sea views… pure paradise!
The vibe is all about peace, privacy, and pure relaxation. The staff couldn’t be kinder or more attentive, and Arjun, the hotel manager, deserves a special mention, he personally makes sure every guest feels at home.
The food was a real highlight: fresh, flavorful, and inspired by the best local ingredients. The chef not only cooks incredibly well but is also happy to tweak the menu to your taste. Our suite was spacious, stylish, and super comfortable, every detail was perfectly curated. The resort also has two infinity pools, a private beach area with comfy loungers and umbrellas, and even two hanging hammocks where you can float above the ocean and watch the sunset… magic! There’s also direct access to the sea when the tide allows, great Wi-Fi, a small gym, and a relaxing massage service.
Outside the property there’s not much around, apart from the Turtle Cave and Secret Garden nearby, but honestly, you won’t want to leave. When the tide goes out, you can take a peaceful walk along the beach all the way to Kizimkazi local fishing village.

5 star experience in zanzibar
Located in the south, just walking distance to the village for a more authentic experience and activities such as dolphin trip and turtles feeding. The stay in the hotel and the service was a 5 star experience ( and i gave a lot of travel experience).
It felt like a retreat.The hotel was very safe nd secured. My kids could safely swim in my private swimming pool while i was able to realy relax . Bedding and bedsheets quality was exceptional. Very quiet surrounding. The GM Mr Arjun was always around and available for the comfort of his guests and was there to assist in any ways he could.
The quality of food was excellent and service very fast ( it is not always the case in some other properties) Chef Ali could really adapt to all our needs and special requests. Quality was very fresh and really delicious. Thank you for the memorable experience.

Absolutely Exceptional
I booked this room for a birthday getaway. To say I was blow away is an understatement. To begin with the manager was so accommodating before our arrival and throughout my stay too, with constant communication and nothing ever being too much.
The entire staff group at the villa were exceptional, so kind, welcoming and truly made everything feel like luxury...we wanted for NOTHING The accommodation exceeded what the pictures reflect and words cannot describe how beautiful it was.
A big thank you to the entire team at Johari Beach Resort and you can guarantee that I will definitely be back again very soon!

The perfect Zanzi-stay!
We had a wonderful honeymoon stay at Johari Beach Residence. The hotel is brand new, spotlessly clean, and the rooms are spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The service was genuinely outstanding - every staff member went out of their way to make sure we had the best possible experience.
A special thanks to Chef Ali for the delicious food, and to Arjun, the General Manager, who was incredibly attentive and service-minded throughout our stay. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment and were even upgraded to a villa for our last night, which was such a perfect finish to the trip.
Highly recommended - this place truly made our honeymoon extra special.

Amazing property and excellent management team
Johari Brach resort is an amazing property that is being run really well. We are a resort owner ourselves in USA and we know what it takes to run a resort like this.
Arjun and his team are at the top of their game. Everything was so clean and well thought out. The decor was very modern. We did take a trip to a nearby Island for snorkeling and a picnic lunch and the tour operator picked us up right from the Johari beach dock as the boats (fishing and tor boats) are all anchored just a short walk away. From the time we booked till our checkout, the service was exceptional. Since we do it ourselves so we could tell all the things they are doing well. The speed of responses within minutes...amazing! Chef Ali and his crew were great too. Due to flight delays and cancellations, we had to change our travel plans at the last minute. We needed to add a day and they were fully booked in the Christmas holidays. Arjun went out of his way to setup a new unit especially for us at the last minute by moving in the furniture. That was really appreciated.
We would love to stay here again if we come to Zanzibar and recommend to all our friends and family.

dreamy stay!!
Johari Beach Resort exceeded every expectation. There we felt genuinely looked after with a deep attention to details. We were upgraded to a stunning oceanfront villa with our own private pool and it felt incredible. The food was delicious, both at dinner and breakfast and the atmosphere luxurious and romantic. The staff were exceptional throughout all our stay: attentive, friendly always available. Huge thanks to Arjun, Ronan, Chef Ali, Miriam and the excellent reception and kitchen teams.
We had an unforgettable experience and will definitely return!

Johari is absolutely outstanding! We’ve just returned home from the most incredible stay and have already booked our return visit for next year! The rooms and accommodation are just stunning and the ideal place to relax and unwind after a day out exploring all that Zanzibar has to offer. Our stay at Johari Beach was absolutely amazing. The food at Johari was exceptionally good! The Asian-inspired flavors and seafood, in particular, were delicious. The staff — from the reception to the restaurant and room service — were always very friendly and attentive. Everything was handled as agreed, and communication was smooth and easy. Staying at our private villa made our holiday with small kids even easier.
